Well, even though it's still summer, the fall portrait sessions have begun! With the weather we've had the last few weeks, the sky has been blue and the sunlight has been golden, and Mark and Melissa Luce and family were the first to take advantage of the weather!
Over the last few months, it seems I've dedicated a lot of my time to portraits of babies and toddlers...which IS fun; however, I have to say that doing family portraits with a group of people that were all 14 and older was almost downright relaxing! We laughed at timess, we were serious at times, but more then anything, I think we all enjoyed being outside on a somewhat cool evening in August.
Mark, Melissa, Sarah, and Jonathan, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your family at this point in your lives! I had a great time, and I hope you had as much fun as I did!
Below are a few of my favorites from the evening. Click here to see a few more of my faves!
Thanks for checking in! Kelly
I mentioned in a previous post that I sometimes ask people to not smile for a few shots. Sarah couldn't keep it together, which of course, gave me one of my favorite shots of the evening.Over the last few months, it seems I've dedicated a lot of my time to portraits of babies and toddlers...which IS fun; however, I have to say that doing family portraits with a group of people that were all 14 and older was almost downright relaxing! I should have posted the color version of this photo. Jonathan has crystal blue eyes!
I love this picture of Mark and Melissa. They're not quite smiling and not quite serious...caught somewhere in the middle.
A serious one of the family. I think Jonathan somewhat enjoys being taller then his dad! His stance says it all!
How I like to see famlies...lauging and having a good time, even if they're in front of a camera.
I'm a sucker usually for the black and white portraits, but hands down, this is my favorite picture of the entire evening. The colors and soft light were great!

These look great, Kelly! And what a good-looking family! I bet this seemed like a breeze with such photogenic people who are older than two!
Thanks for posting!

Good pictures Kelly!! It looks like a good time was had by all!! And I can imagine how much easier adults are at getting their pictures taken than babies are!! Good job!
Love ya!

I agree - I imagine that they were much easier to photoraph than a baby! Looks like you got some great shots.
I love these pictures! They are really great, I think you were lucky to have such a good looking family to take pictures of!
