Father's Day Weekend

This weekend Karen and I and our families met Dad in Springfield for lunch and a trip to the new Lincoln museum. It was a lot of fun, and here are a few of the pix!

Dad and the girls next to Lincoln's childhood cabin at the museum.

Ella is pretty proud of her band.

Emma really wanted her picture taken with Lincoln's family.

Anna dressed up in "Martha's Attic"...the kids play area.

Emma looks like a "Little House on the Prairie" girl.

Ella in an apron in the old-fashioned kitchen.

Grandma Rankin with the girls.

Karen with her girls.

Nick and Dad waiting for us girls to come out of "Martha's Attic."

Thanks for the pics Kelly. I've been putting off taking Randy there because I thought it would be boring, but it looks kinda fun. Also, I didn't realize it was open on Sundays.

The anonymous wasn't me!
Thanks for the pictures Kelly! I thought they were going to be on the Rankin blog. I hadn't checked your blog for them! It looks like you guys had a good time! I wish we could have been there with you! What a great idea for a gift for Dad! Good thinking!
Can't wait to see you all in a few weeks, that is, if Jacob and I survive the trip down there!

Love ya!

I also want to comment that Emma took wonderful pictures that day! She looks so grown up! Ella is really getting big and Anna looks as crazy as ever!

I know! I meant to post them on the Rankin Girls page, but I wasn't thinking...I was running around the house cleaning and doing laundry uploading pictures as I was working and I wasn't thinking at all! Sorry!

Thanks for posting them!!!

What a SUPER idea taking your Dad
to the Lincoln Museum for Father's Day, Kelly, and all the pictures you put on both blogs were abso-lutely great, EXCEPT for the one of
you which was noted by its absence.
We all know what a shutterbug you
are but surely Karen could have taken one of you and the girls or Nick, or you girls and your father,
since it was Father's Day,after all.

Hello, Kelly! Lincoln married Mary, not Martha(Mrs. Lincoln's Attic, not Martha's attic)- thought maybe you would have picked that up since we actually went through the whole museum! Dad would be sooo diappointed in your ability to retain that piece of history.
