A life-changing purchase...

When we first moved into this house, we had big plans for the basement. A second kitchen, a huge storeroom, etc. Because of our big plans, we had originally planned on holding off for a few years since windows, landscaping, siding, etc. needed to come first. However, with temperatures in the 90's over the last month, Nick and I kept noticing that the basement never got over 70 degrees; so, we decided it would be a better move to go ahead and put carpet in the basement so that we could make it more of a family room in the meantime. I think it was one of the better decisions we've made in this remodeling process!

This really looks nice!! What kind of carpeting did you decide on? Next thing you know, you'll put a bed down there so you can sleep in the warmth of the basement during the winter months!!!

Thanks for posting these pictures. I know we all nagged you about it!!

That looks awesome Kelly! After we left your house in July, I realized we had never visited your basement! It looks like a great place for Scott and Nick to watch TV...oh and Jacob too, so we can go do our own thing! And, there's those couches that I love too! So cozy!
